Senna as a Medication
Hadith
Ibn Majah narrated that Abdullah bin Umm Haram said that he heard the Messenger of Allah SAW
said:
Senna is a plant that grows in Al-Hijjaz(western arabia) and the best kind of its grows in Makkah.Senna is hot and dry in the first degree and it is good,mild medication that does not cause any side effects.Senna help againts ailments of the bile and black bile and strengthens the heart,which is another good quality that this medication contains.

"Use Senna and Sanoot(cumin) because they cure every disease except Saam."He was asked,"What is Saam ? " He said: 'DEATH'

Ar-Razi said:
"Senna and fumitory help extract mature humors(bodily wastes) and help againts leprosy and rashes,when one takes four to seven measures of each remedy"
